The Wind and the Rain

Welcome to Season Two of Old Timey Tuesdays!
We figured no better way to get started than with a good ol' murder ballad.  This week, Alex, Betsy and Tyler T. put together a creepy a Capella version of The Wind and the Rain, an English/Scottish (technically Northumbrian) tune that goes by over 20 other titles including The Dreadful Win d and Rain, The Cruel Sister, The Twa Sisters, and it's likely original title, The Miller and the King's Daughter, circa 1656 (print date: it's probably even older!)  It's been covered by everyone from Jerry Garcia to Lorena McKennitt to Gillian Welch.  In any version, it's always delightfully dreadful.

We have so many exciting events, releases, and projects coming up!  Stay up to date and in the know by subscribing to our mailing list or by subscribing to our YouTube channel and never miss an Old Timey Tuesday or anything else from She's Folks!

Thanks for watching.
