Be Thou My Vision

Old Timey Tuesdays! The She's Folks crew would like to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving with Be Thou My Vision. The tune is an old Irish hymn ("Slane" in Gaelic) that dates back to the 6th century. Typically sung in English using the 1905 translation, we made a few changes to the lyrics to modernize and clarify the message. While not a traditional hymn of Thanksgiving, the simple piano melody evokes the season, while the harmonies bring us together, and if you listen very closely at the end...a lone cat offers his reply. We are so grateful to all of you for watching each week, and spending a little time with us.
