Old Timey Tuesdays! Mary of the Moors

As Bob Dylan used to say, "This is a real old song..." And so it is. "Mary of the Moors" or "Mary of the Wild Moor" is this week's Old Timey selection. This ballad dates back to the early 19th century. I used to choke up when I sang along to it as it is possibly the saddest song ever written, and also I am a sap. Still, the melody is beautiful, the story ghostly, and the history rich.
